Men's Cross Country- Pre-Regional Results

The Men's Cross Country Team finished in 5th place at the Pre-Regional at West Ottawa. That means the team is done, but senior Bernardo Saldivar and junior Zac Zemba both qualified as individuals. Bernardo led the way with a 10th place finish and a time of 16:47. Junior Zac Zemba came in 16th place and ran a time of 16:59. It was great to have Zac back as he has missed the last month of the season. Sophomore Will Shults ran a time of 17:27 and came in 27th place. Junior Jackson Gibney, senior Miles Buursma, and sophomore Eli DeCook came in 39th, 40th, and 41st place respectively. Jackson ran a time of 18:03, Miles ran an 18:07, and Eli ran an 18:09. Rounding out the top seven was sophomore Justin Gorman who ran a time of 18:31 and finished in 50th place.
Men's Cross Country- Grandville vs. Rockford

The Men's Cross Country lost their final dual of the season to Rockford by a score of 19 - 42. They end the dual portion of the season in 6th place in the OK Red with a record of 2-5. Leading the way for the Bulldog Harriers was senior Bernardo Saldivar who came in 2nd place with a time of 17:16. Sophomore Will Shults came in 7th place and ran a 17:42. Sophomore Eli DeCook and senior Zach Richards came in 10th and 11th place. Eli ran an 18:16 and Zach ran an 18:20.
Coming in 16th, 17th, and 18th place was sophomore Justin Gorman, sophomore Even Kornoelje, and junior Jackson Gibney. Justin ran a time of 18:29, Evan an 18:36, and Jackson an 18:39. Next race is the Varsity Conference Meet at Riverside Park on Saturday.
Men's Cross Country- Place 3rd in Allendale Invitational

The Men's Cross Country Team finished in 3rd place at the Allendale Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way was senior Bernardo Saldivar who finished in 4th place and ran a personal best time of 16:26. Sophomore Will Shults came in 13th place and also ran a personal best time of 17:28. Senior Zach Richards also ran a personal best time of 17:50 and came in 20th place. Sophomores Evan Kornoelje, Eli DeCook, and Justin Gorman came in 24th, 26th, and 27th place respectively.
Evan ran a season best time of 18:10. Eli ran a personal best time of 18:12, and despite turning his ankle, Justin ran an 18:14. Rounding out the top seven was senior Miles Buursma who ran his personal best time of 18:32 and came in 31st place. Next race is Tuesday against Conference leader Caledonia at South Christian High School.
Men's Cross Country- Grandville vs. West Ottawa

The Men's Cross Country Team made it two in a row as they defeated West Ottawa 24-33. Despite not having top runner Zac Zemba out with an injury, the rest of the team really stepped it up big time. Senior Bernardo Saldivar won the race with a career best time of 16:45. Will Shults came in 4th place with a time of 17:41. Senior Zach Richards came in 5th place and broke 18 minutes for the first time with a 17:59. Sophomore Justin Gorman came in 6th place and ran a season best time of 18:06. Sophomore Evan Kornoelje ran a season best time of 18:21 and came in 8th place with only one shoe on. Rounding out the top seven were sophomore Arthur Gardine who ran a personal best time of 18:36 and a tenth place finish and junior Jackson Gibney in 11th place and he also ran an 18:36. Next up is the Allendale Invitational on Saturday.
Men's Cross Country- Cougar-Falcon Invite

The Men's Cross Country Team finished in 6th place at the Cougar/Falcon Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way was junior Zac Zemba who finished in 8th place and ran a season best time of 16:34. Sophomore Will Shults came in 24th place and ran a career best time of 17:32. Senior Zach Richards also ran a career best time of 18:09 and came in 38th place. Sophomore Justin Gorman ran a season best time of 18:22 and came in 45th place. Junior Jackson Gibney and sophomore Evan Kornoelje came in 49th and 50th place respectively. Jackson ran an 18:30 and Evan ran an 18:40. Sophomore Eli DeCook rounded out the top seven by finishing in 52nd place and ran a season best time of 18:46.
Men's Cross Country- Grandville vs. Hudsonville

The Men's Cross Country Team picked up their first dual meet win of the season defeating Hudsonville 20-39. Leading the way was junior Zac Zemba, senior Bernardo Saldivar and sophomore Will Shults. who finished 1-2-3. Zac won the race with a season best time of 16:41. Nardo ran a 17:18 and came in second place. Will ran his career best time of 17:35. Senior Zach Richards finished in 6th place with a career best time of 18:12. Junior Jackson Gibney stepped it up yesterday by finishing in 8th place with a season best time of 18:22.
Sophomore Evan Kornoelje came in 9th place and ran a season best time of 18:30. Sophomore Justin Gorman also ran a season best time of 18:34 and came in 10th place. Next race is Saturday for just the varsity at the Cougar/Falcon Invitational.
Men's Cross Country- Grandville vs, Jenison

The 2020 Men's Cross country season got off to a bit of a rough start as the Bulldog Harriers took it on the chin. Jenison beat the Dawgs 21-38. Junior Zac Zemba (17:40) took second place overall. Sophomore Will Shults(18:56) and senior Zach Richards(19:29) came in 6th and 7th place respectively. Sophomore Evan Kornoelje(19:48) came in 11th place. Sophomore Damien Freeman(20:11) finished in 15th place. Sophomore Eli DeCook(20:14) came in 17th place and junior Jackson Gibney(20:28) came in 20th place. Next race for the Bulldogs is next Thursday against Grand Haven.
