The Grandville Varsity Softball Team scheduled a very challenging in-season tournament schedule for 2019 and the Dawgs proved up to the task. Grandville added a 4th tournament championship to their resume winning three 1-run games versus the formidable opponents of Spring Lake, Kenowa Hills and Muskegon Oakridge.
The Dawgs got great efforts in the circle Saturday with 3 complete games; 2 from Sam Slager and 1 from Lexi Dukesherer. Offensively, Lexi hit 2 home runs, Taylor Buiter hit her 8th of the year and Maddi Gkekas had a grand slam. Maddi Ungrey and Kyleigh Moll both added 3 hits on the day.
The Dawgs overall record now stands at 26 and 3 with a very challenging 5 league games over the next 3 days.
